Unwanted Dalmatians

Re “Activists Hound Disney Over ‘102 Dalmatians,’ ” Aug. 27:

I think Ann Herrington is barking up the wrong tree! Disney should not be held accountable for all of the abandoned and unwanted Dalmatians. I am a responsible pet owner and I believe the blame should be placed solely on the irresponsible parents and adults who willingly bought the cute little puppies without doing their homework.

I am happy to see Disney taking part in this great opportunity to educate and promote pet adoption with the upcoming release of “102 Dalmatians.” The fact that Herrington and her group feel that Disney should be doing more is ridiculous. If they want to protest, they should stand outside their local pound and give the irresponsible owners a hard time.
