It’s moving day for a landmark home known as the Krenwinkel or Yellow House. The circa-1917 bungalow at 106 Central Ave. will be put on wheels and towed more than five blocks to a vacant lot on 7th Street beginning at 9 a.m. today.
Part of Marina Drive and 7th Street will be closed during the move, expected to last about 45 minutes.
Owner Chris Verhulst, who purchased the house from Annabelle Luraschi (formerly Krenwinkel), plans to open the house as a bed-and-breakfast.
In April, the City Council passed a zoning ordinance that allows bed-and-breakfasts to operate in a limited area in structures at least 75 years old.
