Southland Housing Affordability Down in July
Housing affordability in Southern California continued to drop in July, the California Assn. of Realtors reported. Based on CAR’s index, San Diego was the least affordable county in the Southland, with only 23% of households able to afford a median-priced home. Orange County was the second-least affordable at 27%. Affordability in Ventura County was 30%; Los Angeles County was 36%; Riverside and San Bernardino counties ranked the most affordable with 47% of households able to afford a home.
