Temescal Canyon (0-0) vs. No. 4 Mission Viejo(0-0)
7 TONIGHT MISSION VIEJO HIGH
The Diablos should find out in a hurry whether they are worthy of their No. 4 preseason ranking. Temescal Canyon has reached the Division VII semifinals and finals the last two years and the Titans are 44-15-2 over the last five seasons. An inexperienced Mission Viejo offensive line will have its hands full with lineman Bob Cleary, who has committed to UCLA. Last year, Mission Viejo lost its first four games before it rallied to make the playoffs. But Diablo Coach Bob Johnson is expecting a much faster start. “We know the kids; they know us,” he said. “I think we’re going to be pretty good.”
