* Rock Favorite--Los Lobos will perform Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez. Each ticket-holder will receive a pass for a Mexican buffet. * Ballet--State Street Ballet will open its new performance season Friday at 8 p.m. at the Lobero Theatre, 33 E. Canon Perdido St., Santa Barbara. The ballet will stage a tribute in honor of Hollywood dance legend Cyd Charisse, who appeared in “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Brigadoon” and other silver screen favorites. Under the direction of Rodney Gustafson, the ballet will re-create some of Charisse’s memorable dance sequences. She will attend and will be introduced by Hollywood fashion designer Luis Estevez. $38. 963-0761.
* Organ--The Santa Barbara Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will launch a new season of community concerts Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara, 1535 Santa Barbara St. David A. Gell will perform organ masterworks, including Dietrich Buxtehude’s Prelude and Fugue in G minor and Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in B minor. Donations accepted. 687-0189.
* Auto Royalty--The 22nd annual fund-raising Santa Barbara Concours d’Elegance will be held this weekend at Glen Annie Golf Course in Santa Barbara.
Saturday’s events: a salute to Italian automobiles, featuring 200 models by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa-Romeo, Abarth, Fiat, Lancia, Iso, Bizzarrini and others; Italian food, Italian music, opera singers, a fashion show and wine-tasting; also, a tribute to American classics including Cadillac, Ford, Chevrolet, Buick, Dodge, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chrysler, Lincoln, Kaiser, Frazer, Tucker and De Lorean. $15 general; $5 seniors and students with ID; free, 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
Sunday’s events: a tribute to 100 years of the Auburn Automobiles Co., featuring 200 of some of the world’s finest automobiles. There will be about 20 classes of cars judged during the event, all vying for best of show. $25 general; $10 seniors and students with ID; free, 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
