Comedian With a View

Artie Lange, who plays comic Norm MacDonald’s sidekick on the ABC sitcom “Norm,” has leased a condo on the Wilshire corridor for six months. The asking price was $4,200 a month.

Lange, 32, starred opposite Chris O’Donnell and Renee Zellweger in the movie “The Bachelor” (1999), and he appeared with David Spade in the movie “Lost and Found,” released the same year.

He began his career in the comedy clubs of New York City, where he helped to create the sketch comedy group Live on Tape. His work there led to his being cast as a series regular on the Fox comedy sketch show “Mad TV” for two seasons, starting in 1995. While there, he played a number of female personalities, including Roseanne and Rosie O’Donnell.

Before Lange was cast as the title character’s half-brother in “Norm,” he appeared with Norm MacDonald in the 1998 movie “Dirty Work.”

Lange leased a two-bedroom two-bath unit in a high-rise with city views. He has a home in New Jersey.

Doris Lazner of DBL, Beverly Hills, represented the actor in his lease.

Susan Feniger, co-host of the Food Network cooking show “Too Hot Tamales,” and Liz Lachman, Emmy-winning composer, have listed their Brentwood-area home at $769,000.

Feniger, 46, and Mary Sue Milliken are co-hosts of the TV show and are co-owners of the Border Grill restaurants in Santa Monica and Las Vegas and the restaurant Ciudad in downtown Los Angeles.

Feniger and Lachman bought another home with a pool in the same neighborhood.

The home they listed has four bedrooms in slightly more than 1,900 square feet. Built in 1954 but remodeled recently, the house has sweeping canyon views and a large, terraced lot. The family room has walls of glass. The master suite has French doors opening to a deck.

Veteran TV writer Joyce Perry has purchased the Beachwood Canyon home of sound editor Dan Rich for $650,000.

Perry has written for such award-winning shows as “The Waltons” and “Eight Is Enough.” She is the daughter of the late Norman Perry, who designed lamps and lighting for the U.S. House and Senate chambers as well as the White House.

Rich was sound editor for such movies as “Mulan,” “Home Alone,” “Steel Magnolias” and “Glory.” He was dialogue editor for “The Man in the Iron Mask,” “Jerry Maguire” and “JFK.” He was also sound-effects editor for “Braveheart.”

The traditional-style home has three bedrooms plus guest quarters and city-to-ocean views.

Rick Chimienti of DBL Estates, Beverly Hills, represented the buyer; Patricia Hodson, assistant manager of DBL on Sunset Strip, had the listing.
