Festival Expected to Draw Thousands
More than 4,000 people are expected in Moorpark today for the Country Days festival, which celebrates the city’s agricultural heritage.
The festival, with the “Happy Birthday, Moorpark,” features a parade, arts and crafts booths, commercial and nonprofit vendors, games, rides and entertainment on two stages.
Rebekah Evans, chief executive director of the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce, said she is planning to add more days to the one-day festival starting next year.
The festival kicks off at 9 a.m. with a performance by two local singers. At 9:30 a.m., the parade starts on Poindexter Avenue.
