Crespi Stays Afloat at Newbury Park, 10-8
Danny Behrens and Brian Wiser combined to score seven goals for Crespi High in a 10-8 nonleague boys’ water polo victory Friday at Newbury Park.
Ryan Martin had 16 saves for Crespi (13-4), which led, 9-3, after three quarters.
Nordhoff 7, Rio Mesa 6--The Rangers blew a six-goal lead in the second half, but held on to win a nonleague game at Rio Mesa.
Shaun Jappe scored four goals and Spencer Ford added two for Nordhoff (6-6).
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Oak Park 9, Marymount 9--Marisa Gilbert swept at No. 1 singles and Oak Park won a nonleague match on games, 79-76, at Oak Park.
Gilbert defeated Kelsey Adams, 6-4, Bradlee Berk, 6-1, and Natalie Small, 6-1.
Vanessa Kisvarday and Michelle Miller swept at No. 1 doubles for Marymount, which won six of nine doubles sets.
Oak Park (7-2) outdistanced Marymount, 40-26, in games during singles play.
