Astronaut to Lecture on Her Autobiography

Dr. Mae C. Jemison, the first African American female astronaut, will give a lecture at the Learning Clinics in Camarillo on Aug. 23.
Jemison, a physician and engineer, was a crew member of a 1992 mission aboard the space shuttle Endeavour.
Jemison will discuss her recent Scholastic book, “Find Where the Wind Goes: Moments From My Life,” a series of autobiographical anecdotes beginning with her earliest recollections.
