Council Reconfirms Janice Lee as Mayor
The Calabasas City Council voted to reconfirm Janice Lee as mayor two weeks after she announced her resignation.
Before the council voted Wednesday night, Lee apologized for walking out of the July 18 council meeting, calling her action inappropriate.
“I just reached the boiling point and I lost my composure,” Lee said.
On Thursday, Lee said she had no idea what was going to happen when she asked the council if she should stay.
The council voted 4 to 0 in her favor. Councilman Michael Harrison was not present for the vote.
“We’re back with five council members and we’re looking forward to doing the work we were elected to do,” Councilman James Bozajian said.
