Girl’s Burned Body Found Behind Gym

The burned body of a teenage girl was found Friday behind a community gymnasium, authorities said.
A boy visiting the gym to play in a basketball league found the body about 8 a.m. as he rounded a loading ramp leading inside the Veterans Park and Sports Complex on Moneta Avenue, said Sheriff’s Deputy Rich Pena.
The girl appeared to be about 14, authorities said. The boy said she wore a skirt and high heels.
