Pleased With Poland
Our recent trip to Krakow, Poland, was immeasurably enhanced by having read Susan Spano’s article titled “Poland’s New Crowd Pleaser” (May 20). We visited most of the sites she recommended.
There were also two unexpected treasures we discovered in Central Europe: Wroclaw, Poland, with its lovely cathedrals, main square and Monopol hotel; and Banska Bystrica in Slovakia. The latter has a beautiful square and a marvelous puppet and folk music museum and is close to two treats: a fascinating museum in the nearby Zvolen castle and a remarkable wooden church in Hronsek.
