The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company will reprise its staging of “Romeo and Juliet” in Thousand Oaks beginning Friday. This version of the classic was first staged by the company at the summer 2000 installment of the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival.

Cultural Festival

The 10th annual International Food & Entertainment Festival in Camarillo will provide a globe-trotting tour for your taste buds Saturday. Thai, Middle Eastern, Polynesian and other regional cuisines will be available, plus cultural displays, crafts and live entertainment. The event is hosted each year by the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District.

Funny Guys

Jeff Foxworthy, the hardest-working self-described “redneck” comedian in show business, will headline the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” Saturday at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza’s Kavli Theatre. Since leaving network television after the cancellation of his eponymous NBC sitcom, Foxworthy has moved back to Atlanta and tapped his Southern stand-up roots. The show will also feature Bill Engvall, a comedian with a similar bent.

Jazz

Vocalist Marlena Shaw, whose blues-based music also spans jazz, will give a benefit concert Sunday in Thousand Oaks. The veteran performer’s resume includes a four-year stint with the Count Basie Band and work with other jazz luminaries. Proceeds from the show will benefit KCLU-FM’s student training projects.
