NetZero Files Patent Suit Against Juno

NetZero Inc., a provider of Internet access services and online user-targeted marketing, has filed suit against Juno Online Services Inc. for patent infringement over the process that enables an Internet service provider to display advertisements or messages through a window that is separate from the browser.

NetZero employs the technology through a persistent, on-screen window that serves as a navigational tool while displaying ads and customized messages.

The lawsuit was filed Dec. 27 in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.
