Ball Road Project Delayed One Week
The rehabilitation project along Ball Road, supposed to be completed by Friday, will be delayed for another week for minor improvements, officials reported.
“Ninety-eight percent is done,” said Kamran Dadbej, associate engineer of the city’s Public Works Department. “The only outstanding issue is the two monument signs that need to be completed.”
The entry signs, which will display the city’s name and logo, will be installed at Holder Street and at Bloomfield Avenue.
The total cost of the rehabilitation project, which began in October, is estimated at $1.2 million. The work along the 2.5-mile stretch of Ball Road includes a median island, landscaping and paving.
The city is expected to receive nearly $200,000 for the project from the federal government.
