Trophies were awarded to 23 floats in the 112th Tournament of Roses, whose overall theme was “Fabric of America.” The winners, including theme, sponsor and description of category:

Sweepstakes Trophy: “Enchanted Expedition,” Rain Bird Sprinkler Manufacturing Corp. Most beautiful entry with outstanding floral presentation and design.

Lathrop K. Leishman Trophy: “Central Park Fashion on Parade,” Downey, Rose Float Assn. Most beautiful float entered by a noncommercial sponsor.

President’s Trophy: “The Family Tree,” National Assn. of Home Builders. Most effective overall floral presentation, use of flowers and design of floral arrangements.

Grand Marshal’s Trophy: “Bonanza,” Farmers Insurance Co. Excellence in creative concept and design.

Directors’ Trophy: “Home Sweet Home,” Dr Pepper Beverage Co. Outstanding artistic merit in design and floral presentation.

Theme trophy: “Symbols of America,” American Honda. Excellence in presenting parade theme.

Judges’ Special Trophy: “On the Road to Freedom,” Veterans of Foreign Wars. Most spectacular showmanship and dramatic impact.

Queen’s Trophy: “Preserving the Wetlands,” Wetlands Recovery Project. Most effective use and display of roses in concept, design and presentation.

Isabella Coleman Trophy: “A Bountiful Harvest,” Eastman Kodak. Best presentation of color and color harmony through use of flowers.

Princesses’ Trophy: “Teddy Bear . . . An American Original,” City of Torrance. Most beautiful float 35 feet or less in length.

Animation Trophy: “American Innovation,” Glade. Best use of animation and motion.

Fantasy Trophy: “Growing Together,” Bayer Advance Garden. Most outstanding display of fantasy and imagination.

Humor Trophy: “Blue Ribbon Winners,” Subway Restaurants. Most comical and amusing entry.

International Trophy: “Chinatown USA,” China Airlines. Most beautiful entry from outside the continental United States.

National Trophy: “The First Americans,” Countrywide Home Loans. Best depiction of life in the United States, past, present or future.

Governor’s Trophy: “El Camino Real--A Salute to California Missions,” 21st Century Insurance Co. Best depiction of life in California.

Founders’ Trophy: “A Grizzly Situation,” California Polytechnic Universities, Pomona and San Luis Obispo. Most beautiful float built and decorated by volunteers from the sponsoring community or organization.

Mayor’s Trophy: “Home for the Holidays,” city of West Covina. Most outstanding entry from a city, U.S. or international.

Tournament Special Trophy: “Bringing Cultures Together,” Panda Express Restaurants. Exceptional merit in multiple classifications.

Volunteers’ Trophy: “Recognizing Tomorrow’s Leaders,” Rotary International. Best floral design of parade theme, 35 feet or less.

Extraordinaire Trophy: “A Century of Setting the Pace,” Automobile Club of Southern California. Most spectacular entry including floats that cannot retract to 55 feet in length.

Past Presidents Trophy: “Wings of Glory,” Florists’ Transworld Delivery. Most creative design and use of both floral and non-floral materials.

Craftsman Award: “Getting to Know You,” Thai Airways. Outstanding showmanship and dramatic impact over 55 feet in length.
