Kristin Santa made a driving shot with slightly more than a minute to play and Stephanie Schmitz added four free throws over the final 17 seconds to lead Drake over No. 15 Southwest Missouri State, 66-63, at Des Moines.
Drake (7-3, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference) overcame a 12-point deficit over the final 13 1/2 minutes to defeat Southwest Missouri State (7-3, 1-1), which shot only 26.5% in the second half.
