Aspeon Inc. said Timothy Feeney resigned as chief financial officer and chief administrative officer but will stay on until February to assist in accounting and other matters.

Donald W.S. Rutherford will assume the chief financial duties until a permanent successor is named, the Irvine maker of business computer systems said Tuesday. Rutherford, a partner of Tatum CFO Partners LLP, has served as chief financial officer of several technology corporations, including General Automation Inc.

Aspeon expects to file its quarterly regulatory report for the first fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30 by the end of January. The company, which had also delayed filing its year-end results and then restated quarterly losses, expects a “timely filing” of its second-quarter report with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
