My favorite sugar punk princesses, Lo-Ball, signed to A&M; Records this week and plan to strut their sexy stuff on the Warped Tour this summer.... Hard rock super vixens, Betty Blowtorch, celebrated their debut release with some hellacious pyrotechnics and hell-bound rock ‘n’ roll at the Viper Room on Monday. God bless ‘em.... New favorite deejay: Max G, a New York transplant who spins a wicked set of old school punk at Beauty Bar on Mondays.... Two of our fave scenesters, Beauty Bar manager Samir and partner Simon Jones, plan to open a new Hollywood bar called Vine in mid-July.... New favorite person: Steve Dimon, who hosts Saturdays at Joya. He tells me legendary clubbers the Colachis Brothers are opening a club at the top of Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood.... Big ups to the House of Blues in Anaheim for treating me like rock royalty on my birthday last week. But maybe they thought I was Courtney Love.
