Washington Police Seek 2 Los Angeles Men in Fatal Shooting of Girl
Two Los Angeles men are wanted for questioning in the shooting death of a 3-year-old girl in Spokane, Wash., last month.
Spokane police believe Anthony Lawrence Wright, 27, and William Rolando Peralta, 22, returned to Southern California after the Feb. 9 shooting, in which a woman was also injured.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to their arrests, police said.
Spokane Police Det. Kip Hollenbeck said the victim, Pasheen Bridges, had just returned home with her mother and was unwrapping a pack of bubble gum in her living room when the two-story house “erupted in gunfire.”
At least two men had approached the house and opened fire from opposite windows, Hollenbeck said, and the child was struck by a bullet that pierced her heart. A 20-year-old woman suffered two gunshot wounds to her chest but recovered.
Police suspect that the intended target of the shooting may have been Peralta, who was in the house at the time. Hollenbeck said he is wanted on suspicion of rendering criminal assistance for altering the crime scene before police arrived. Peralta and Wright are also wanted on unrelated probation violations.
The reward is being offered by Secret Witness, a Spokane program that accepts anonymous tips and pays money to the first person whose information leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incident may call (509) 327-5111.
