Edward Winter, 63, a versatile character actor probably best known for his recurring role as “Colonel Flagg” on the hit television series “MASH.” Born in Ventura, Winter became a professional actor in 1964. After working with the San Francisco Repertory Theater, Winter found jobs in New York theater. He was nominated for Tony Awards for his portrayal of Ernst in “Cabaret,” and the role of Sheldrake in “Promises, Promises.” His film credits included “A Change of Seasons,” “The Buddy System,” “From the Hip,” and “Porky’s 2.” On March 8 of Parkinson’s Disease at the Motion Picture & Television Hospital in Woodland Hills.
