TV Coverage Set for UCLA, USC

Local fans of Pacific 10 Conference basketball will get their fill during CBS’ first-round coverage of the NCAA tournament Thursday.
Channel 2 plans to show the UCLA-Hofstra game from Greensboro, N.C., beginning about 11:45 a.m., then will cap its coverage with the USC-Oklahoma State game about 7 p.m. from Uniondale, N.Y. The exact starting times of the UCLA and USC games depend on the conclusion of earlier games.
Channel 2 also will show Pac-10 champion Stanford’s first-round game against North Carolina Greensboro from San Diego, beginning about 2 p.m.
Locally, coverage kicks off at 9 a.m. with Kentucky-Holy Cross from Uniondale. Channel 2 also will show the Arkansas-Georgetown game from Boise, Idaho, about 4:50 p.m.
Friday’s television schedule will be announced today.
