NetGuru Abandoning Boston Tech Operation

NetGuru Inc., a Yorba Linda Internet technology and services company, said Thursday it is dismantling its technical support operation in Boston and consolidating those operations in its Orange County headquarters.

About five jobs in Boston and Orange County will be lost in the restructuring. NetGuru has about 250 employees nationwide and about 600 workers around the world.

The company also said it has terminated its chief financial officer, Wayne Blair, because of “performance-related issues.” Jyoti Chatterjee, the president and chief operating officer, will assume Blair’s responsibilities until a replacement is found.

The company also said it will incur a one-time restructuring charge in the current quarter. It did not disclose the amount.
