Man Who Killed During Drug Deal Is Executed
From Times Wire Reports
A career criminal convicted of killing a man during a drug deal 10 years ago was executed by injection after a judge rejected his appeal.
Abdullah T. Hameen, 37, received the injection at the Delaware Correctional Center in Smyrna after midnight as punishment for the murder of Troy Hodges in 1991.
Hameen’s execution came after several appeals were filed by his attorneys and supporters seeking to have his death sentence commuted to life in prison. The appeals were rejected by the state Superior and Supreme courts.
