Population Growth
Re “State’s Asian Population Climbs 35%,” May 23: Your article on the growth in Asian population shows another case in which immigration creates greater diversity in our cities, which enriches our lives. However, our immigration policy is not good for our society. Diversity is one thing, but the fact that our population is growing so rapidly is a serious problem. At this rate, we will have half a billion people in the U.S. by mid-century. The Census Bureau also indicates that there will be a billion people by 2100. What kind of quality of life will this mean to future generations?
