Crash Involving 2 Cars, Ambulance Leaves 7 Hurt

Seven people were injured, one seriously, when an ambulance and two cars were involved in an accident south of downtown, authorities said.
The ambulance was carrying one patient when it was involved in the collision at 7:48 p.m. near Grand Avenue and 17th Street, said city Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells. Two firefighters and the patient were among those hurt. The injuries were not life-threatening.
