Greek, Turkish Leaders Planning to Hold Talks
From Times Wire Reports
The leaders of Cyprus’ Greek and Turkish communities agreed to hold face-to-face talks next month for the first time in four years.
Cypriot President Glafcos Clerides told reporters that Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash had accepted his proposal for a meeting in the first 10 days of December.
The most likely venue for the talks will be the United Nations’ offices in Nicosia, the capital city that is divided by a cease-fire line patrolled by U.N. peacekeepers.
