111: Points scored by Santa Monica in two playoff victories. The Vikings defeated La Canada, 49-3, after beating Workman, 62-0, in their opener.
26: Unanswered points scored by Inglewood in a span of 3 minutes 31 seconds of third quarter in 45-21 Division X victory over previously unbeaten Temple City.
10: Games played between Corona Centennial and Riverside J.W. North since 1996. North’s 35-28 quadruple-overtime victory in the fourth playoff matchup left Centennial with a 7-3 lead in the series.
6: Touchdowns scored by La Mirada’s Junior Vaca in a 49-25 Division VI victory over Santa Ana Foothill. Vaca rushed for 273 yards and four touchdowns and caught two scoring passes.
BIG WINNERS
* Billy Hudson of Temecula Valley recovered a fumble to set up a touchdown and returned an interception 47 yards to set up another score in Temecula Valley’s 29-15 Division V victory over San Bernardino Cajon.
* Colt Brennan of Santa Ana Mater Dei completed 23 of 30 passes for 318 yards to lead the Monarchs to a 44-28 Division I victory over Redlands.
* Fontana Kaiser’s defense stopped Ridgecrest Burroughs on fourth and goal from the three yard-line with 1 minute 21 seconds left to preserve a 21-14 Division VIII victory.
* Dartangan Johnson of Newport Harbor gained 103 yards in 24 carries in a 36-25 Division VI victory over Cerritos, becoming the first player this season to rush for more than 100 yards against the Dons. Johnson eclipsed the 100-yard mark on his final carry, a 23-yard gain with slightly more than one minute left.
UPSETS
* Palmdale defeated Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 14-7. The Falcons’ victory over top-seeded Notre Dame in Division III advanced Palmdale to the semifinals for the first time since 1988.
* Valencia defeated Crescenta Valley, 27-15. Charles Burley rushed for 185 yards as the Vikings beat the fourth-seeded and previously unbeaten Falcons on Division III.
* Riverside J.W. North defeated Corona Centennial, 35-28. North avenged a 42-18 defeat earlier this season with a double-overtime victory that ended the defending Division V champions’ 22-game winning streak.
* Laguna Hills defeated Orange El Modena, 31-24. The Hawks rallied from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter and beat top-seeded Laguna Hills in overtime in Division VI.
