Backpack Causes Bomb Scare at Union Station
From Times Staff Reports
An unattended backpack was the cause of a bomb scare at Union Station on Thursday morning, Los Angeles police said.
Police and the FBI responded to a report about the mysterious object and cordoned off a small part of the station on its eastern side before ascertaining what the object was.
Traffic was not disrupted, and trains continued to arrive and depart--with passengers--during the episode.
