Board OKs Plan for CSUCI Charter School
From Times Staff Reports
School board members in Camarillo have approved plans for what would be Ventura County’s second charter school, eventually to be housed on the campus of Cal State Channel Islands.
The CSUCI Professional Development Charter School would serve up to 600 students in kindergarten through eighth grades and provide a learning lab for teachers and administrators throughout the county.
The charter school proposal is also subject to state approval.
The $15-million school is planned for an 11-acre site on the fledgling university campus.
