Bruins, Trojans Will Square Off
This weekend, the rivalry between UCLA and USC continues when the schools’ women’s volleyball and soccer teams meet in Pacific 10 Conference play.
The fifth-ranked UCLA volleyball team hosts third-ranked USC at 7 p.m. Friday in Pauley Pavilion.
The Trojans are 7-0 in conference and 13-1 overall.
The Bruins (10-3, 5-2) are coming off a victory over visiting California on Friday, during which senior setter Erika Selsor became the Pac-10’s career assist leader.
She surpassed the total of 5,421 by Holly McPeak, who played for California and UCLA from 1987-90.
In their first meeting of the season, USC defeated UCLA, 30-27, 30-21, 30-12, on Sept. 21.
The second-ranked UCLA soccer team hosts USC at 1 p.m. Saturday at Drake Stadium.
The Trojans (7-3-1, 2-0) are on a seven-game unbeaten streak but have never won in Westwood.
The Bruins, at 11-0, 2-0, are off to the best start in program history. They play at No. 3 Santa Clara today.
