Vaughn May Force a Big Trade Deficit

The unfortunate thing about Mo Vaughn coming out now and saying that he doesn’t like playing for the Angels is that we find out two years too late that he and not Jim Edmonds was the cancer on the Angels. Since Stoneman is notorious for his poor judgment when it comes to trades, I’m sure GMs around the league are licking their chops. My advice for Stoneman, if an opposing general manager sounds too excited when you make the trade proposal, don’t pull the trigger.

So now Mo Vaughn has gone on record that he wants to spend the rest of his career playing in Boston. Good riddance, although to facilitate a trade, Mo may need to eat part of his large contract. That may not be a problem.

Judging from the gut he has put on, eating is apparently what Mo has done best in Anaheim.
