Deadline for Applying for Council Seat Is Oct. 11

Officials are accepting applications to fill the unexpired term of a city councilman who is resigning.
Tim Harvey, whose term ends in November 2002, said he is resigning effective Oct. 8 to become superintendent of Brea Olinda Unified School District.
Applications must be submitted by Oct. 11. The remaining council members will interview qualified applicants the week of Oct. 15.
