Man Stabbed in Fight Is in Critical Condition

A man who suffered multiple stab wounds during a fight in Palmdale was hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said Monday.
David Vargas Martinez, 38, was walking in the 38500 block of East 5th Street at 9:30 p.m. Sunday when he was confronted by a group of men, police said. Martinez was stabbed with a pocketknife.
Deputies late Sunday arrested 33-year-old Rigoberto Perez in connection with the fight. Investigators were trying to determine whether Perez stabbed Martinez, authorities said.
