Asbestos Found at Health Agency’s Offices

Asbestos has been found at the home of the federal agency that helped educate the world to the dangers of the fibrous mineral. Officials of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences say there is no evidence that any of its workers have suffered because of the asbestos.
The institute was cited this fall by federal officials for failing to warn workers at its headquarters in Research Triangle Park of the presence of asbestos in a heating plant.
