The county Board of Supervisors on Tuesday directed the Department of Health Services to prepare a plan to “ensure the maintenance” of graduate education and resident training programs at Martin Luther King/Drew Medical Center.

County officials revealed on Monday that King/Drew’s diagnostic radiology department had lost its accreditation and that its internal medicine training program had been placed on probation.

The board directed the health services department to prepare a “corrective action plan” by Jan. 7.
