‘P.I.’: R.I.P.

I was heartened by Bill Kelley’s fond farewell to Bill Maher and “Politically Incorrect” (Counterpunch, May 27). “P.I.” was the rarest of all television animals, in that it was intelligent, funny and politically relevant all at the same time.

Now, we can only hope that its host doesn’t try his hand as a sports announcer.
