Fatal Shooting of Teen Believed Gang-Related

The shooting death of a 15-year-old boy Tuesday evening in northeast Los Angeles is believed to have been gang-related, Los Angeles police said.
LAPD Det. Rick Peterson said the teenager, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, died in a car-to-car shooting near the intersection of North Broadway and Avenue 20 when someone pulled up behind the vehicle he was in and opened fire.
Paramedics took the victim to County-USC Medical Center, where he died in surgery.
