Council Delays Decision to Put Project on Ballot
From Times Staff Reports
The Redondo Beach City Council has voted to wait until June 4 before deciding whether to put a controversial beachfront redevelopment project before voters.
Known as Heart of the City, the project would allow 2,998 new housing units and 657,000 square feet of commercial space.
Opponents gathered enough signatures to force the city to either drop the project or put the question to voters.
