“The ’97 Long Meadow Ranch Cabernet--although the ’98 is also very good. I really like the way they grow the grapes--they’re certified organic. The winery is in the hills above Rutherford so the wine has the intensity of mountain fruit. The winemaker, Cathy Corison, really tames mountain fruit into a wine that is unctuous and delicious.”
