Radio--KMPC (1540).

Records--Avengers 3-2, Force 1-4.

Record vs. Force (2001)--0-2.

Update--It’s a good bet Robert Lyles had this game circled on his calendar. But the former Avenger coach is now the former Force coach. Lyles was fired Monday after the Force lost its fourth game in a row after a season-opening win. The latest setback was a 70-62 loss to Chicago last week. Marty Lowe, the offensive coordinator last year when the franchise played in Nashville, was named interim coach. Despite its record, the Force is in a three-way tie for second in the Southern Division. Donnie Davis replaced Kevin McDougal at quarterback in the second quarter last week and wound up throwing for seven touchdowns. Lowe has not decided who will be the starter. The Avengers, third in the Western Division after defeating Tampa Bay, 38-24, last week, are playing their fourth road game in five weeks. The Avengers hope to get back receiver Chris Jackson, who missed the last two games with a broken bone in the right wrist. Jackson, who had his cast removed Monday, practiced this week and is listed as questionable. Receiver Greg Hopkins has 19 catches for 244 yards and five touchdowns in the last two games.
