Property Owners to Mail Votes on New Parks
From Times Staff Reports
Palmdale property owners will decide by mail-in ballot next month whether the desert city should build $38 million worth of new parks and recreation facilities.
The City Council voted unanimously last week to put the issue to a vote. The new facilities would include ball fields, an amphitheater and a family water park.
About 35,000 ballots will be sent out between Monday and June 6. Property owners will have 45 days to return their votes.
