1 Man Is Shot, Another Run Over

Two men, each bound in duct tape, were found lying on streets before dawn Wednesday. One, run over and dragged 500 feet, died of his injuries. The other, shot in the abdomen, was hospitalized in serious condition.
Sheriff’s deputies said it was not immediately determined whether the two incidents were related.
The unidentified man who died was discovered in the 1400 block of East 90th Street about 12:10 a.m., sheriff’s Deputy Rick Varela said. Ramon Jacobo, 25, was found several hours later at Poplar Drive and State Street in Lynwood, he said.
