Sale and Auction to Aid Boy, 9, With Leukemia
Donations are being sought for a rummage sale and auction to benefit a 9-year-old Ojai boy battling leukemia.
Colby Chapman is being treated at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Event organizer Jocelyn Somers said his family needs financial assistance. Gift certificates and merchandise are being requested from area businesses for the auction, and donated household items, such as toys or kitchenware, are needed for the rummage sale.
Colby also needs A-positive blood donations.
The fund-raiser is planned from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at Chaparral Continuation High School. For more information or to make a donation, call Somers at 646-2747.
