‘Heroic Mama’ Panda Carrying Baby No. 13

A panda whose knack for getting pregnant earned her the nickname “Heroic Mama” is carrying her 13th baby, the official New China News Agency said.
Qing Qing, 22, showed signs of pregnancy recently after mating four times at Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in southwestern China, the agency said. If all goes well, she will give birth in August.
Qing Qing has given birth to four sets of twins and four other offspring since 1989. Her mother Mei Mei bore nine panda cubs between 1980 and 1990.
