Dell to Focus on 4 Countries Overseas

Dell Computer Corp., which sees its biggest growth prospects in overseas markets, said it planned to focus on four key countries -- China, Japan, France and Germany.
Unit sales grew 72% in the fourth quarter last year in China, where Dell is the fourth-largest computer company, with 5% of the market, Dell President Kevin Rollins said. In Japan, Dell has 9.4% of the market and is the No. 4 computer seller.
The Round Rock, Texas-based computer maker has more than 10% of the French market and 7% of the German market.
