Hilarious Hilburn

Could someone please ask Robert Hilburn what a “rap battle” is and if it’s anything like what Kid and Play staged in the obviously ground-breaking film “House Party”? Also, is the phrase “unsettling themes” now an acceptable euphemism for gay-bashing and misogyny?

I couldn’t help noticing that the Beatles’ “Anthology” was reviewed right next to “8 Mile” and only received 3 1/2 stars to the four of “8 Mile.” Perhaps if George, Paul and Ringo had staged a “rap battle” while “reaching for self-esteem” the collection would have been up to par.
