Bomb Plot Trial Witness Retracts Her Statements

A witness in the trial of a Turkish man and his American girlfriend in connection with an alleged plan to bomb a U.S. military base in Heidelberg, Germany, retracted statements that the woman had mentioned specific targets.
The court freed Astrid Eyzaguirre, 23, from custody, saying she was not a flight risk, though charges of being an accessory to a bomb plot were not dropped.
Osman Petmezci, 25, remained jailed, charged with planning the attack.
