Embrace ‘Passion’
Tim Rutten’s bashing of Mel Gibson’s unreleased movie “The Passion”
(“ ‘Passion’ Shaping Up as Gibson’s Lethal Weapon,” Aug. 6) seems yet another attempt by the secular/liberal quasi-intellectuals to deny historical facts.
Why is it that the story of Jesus’ crucifixion should evoke such nervous outbursts? I say it is not fear of anti-Semitism but the fear of any form of spirituality infiltrating the psyche of the American people that drives these attacks. I urge this readership not to fall victim to this propaganda and make it a point to see this movie.
