U.S. condo, co-op sales set a record
U.S. condominium and cooperative apartment sales rose to a record high in the second quarter, rising 4% to a seasonally adjusted 861,000, from 828,000 in the first quarter, according to the National Assn. of Realtors.
The median price for a condo was $163,500, up 15% from a year ago, compared with the 7.4% increase to $168,900 in the median price for a single-family home.
